The club are absolutely delighted to confirm that Strandhill Community Park will be hosting a Glasgow Celtic Community Football Camp. The dates set for the camp are July 27-31. To celebrate the long history and tradition between one of Europe’s leading clubs and the people of Ireland, the Celtic Community Academy is offering young players between seven and 15 years of age the chance to train and play for a week this summer with professional coaches from Celtic in selected areas of Ireland. If you want to put yourself on show to the coaching staff of the best-supported club in Ireland, or just want to learn new skills and meet new friends this summer, simply complete the application form and return it to the course administrator with your full payment. Applications should be returned as soon as possible, as places on each course are strictly limited. Celtic are sending a team of highly-qualified coaches to Ireland to provide a series of five-day coaching courses. This will be the seventh time that Irish youngsters will have the opportunity to train and play with coaches from Celtic on home soil. The main objective of the courses is to make a difference to young footballers across Ireland. The course will last for five days between 10am and 3pm and will focus on developing better players through practising skills and techniques, speed and agility exercises, and involvement in small-sided games: all with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment under the watchful eye of the Celtic coaching staff. All participants will get a Celtic training top, Celtic certificate, top class coaching from Celtic coaches and also be able to win prizes through daily competitions. Application forms can be downloaded from the Strand Celtic website, www.strandceltic.com or from the Glasgow Celtic camp administrator, Brian Redmond, on 0876569343. Completed forms with cheques should be returned to Brian Redmond, Glasgow Celtic Camp Administrator, ‘Larass’, Strandhill, County Sligo.
