Ocean hits high for hospice

OCEAN FM’s Hits for Hospice was a resounding success this year with almost €7,000 raised so far for North West Hospice and Donegal Hospice.
On September 17 Ocean FM handed over the airwaves to the listeners to set the music agenda for the day to raise funds for both hospices.
Listeners pledged dentations to have their favourite song played on the radio from 7am until 9pm. Donegal Comedian, Conal Gallen joined the presenters on the day to support the stations fundraising efforts for this very important charity.
Many households throughout Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim held coffee mornings in conjunction with the radio station to help raise funds and €6,809.00 has been handed over to the hospices so far.
“We are delighted with the response as people don’t have as much disposable income this year so each and every donation was important to our efforts,” said Margaret Carr Flynn of Ocean FM.
